Google Maps Optimization

This is a tricky one to get good results on but, if done well, it can dramatically affect the fortunes of local businesses.

Imagine without making dramatic changes to the existing website your business can go from nowhere to the front page of Google within a few days, sometimes even minutes.

How does Google Maps Optimization Work?

It works very simply.

A person uses their computer, laptop, phone or whatever they use to browse the Internet.
Depending on the geographic location of the search Google (boy those guys are smart!) determines which businesses are closest to the search and displays a handy-dandy map with between 1 and 7 businesses.
If someone wants to know more they can either click through to the website or see the details Google knows about that business.

Does it work every time?

No - sometimes Google (smart guys though they are) gets it wrong or people enter their business details into their Google Maps listing in such a way it confuses Google.  The results aren't sometimes what you'd expect but....they are getting better!

Which businesses does it work for?

Generally businesses offering services locally like restaurants, kitchen companies, dentists, doctors, used car dealers etc.

One thing you have to remember is you can't be found for everything you want to be found for.  The whole point of 'optimization' is to optimize your performance for the things you want to be found for which isn't the same as being found for everything all the time.  That isn't possible - that's called magic.....or a big advertising budget!

How much does it cost?

Google Maps optimization is a tricky thing so if it doesn't work - there is no charge.
If it does work - $800 + Tax.
This isn't recommended on its own but $800 buys you a year of monitoring and optimization to get the best out of your listing.
